Özgün Çağlar Çay

I am Özgün Çağlar Çay, a linguist and maritime professional with a deep curiosity for foreign cultures that began in childhood. I graduated from Istanbul Technical University’s Maritime Faculty in 2003 and served as an officer on oceangoing vessels, gaining valuable experience in navigation, discipline, and international teamwork.

After several years at sea, I decided to pursue a career that would let me stay connected to the global world in a different way — through language and communication. For nearly twenty years, I worked with leading translation and localization companies, and in October 2023, I founded my own business to provide specialized services independently. In November 2023, I became a proud member of the American Translators Association (ATA).

While my main area of expertise lies in medical and pharmaceutical translations, I also have extensive experience in legal documentation and academic credential translations — including ATA-certified translations required for students planning to continue their education in the United States.
